Sculling- Is the more classic version of rowing in which the rower has control of two oars.

Sweeping-Is the more popular type of rowing at the college level, in which the rower has control of one large oar.

Shell-The shell is the name for the boat. There are one person, two person, four person, and eight person shells. St. Edwards Crew races all these different shells.

Coxswain- The "Cox " is a driver that controls the larger boats such as four's and eight's. She has contol of the rudder of the boat and sets the pace for the race.
